If you do not agree, you must not enroll in or use the Course. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice, and your continued use of the Course signifies acceptance of any such changes. You will be required to explicitly indicate your agreement to these Terms (for example, by clicking “I Agree”) before accessing the Course content.

No Medical Advice or Therapist-Patient Relationship

The content provided in the Course (including videos, written materials, exercises, and guided practices) is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, nor is it a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized therapy. Although the Course is created by a licensed physical therapist, we are not acting as your personal physical therapist or healthcare provider by offering this material. No doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship is formed by your participation. All information is presented generally, and you should not rely solely on this information for decisions regarding your health. Always seek the advice of your physician or a qualified healthcare professional with any questions you have regarding a medical condition or before implementing any techniques from this Course in your own health regimen.

Nothing in the Course or on our website is intended to direct you to undertake any specific exercise, treatment plan, or action without proper medical consultation. We do not guarantee that any particular practice or suggestion in the Course is safe, appropriate, or effective for you. Use of the Course is not a personalized medical service, and the information provided should not be used to self-diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Health and Safety Disclaimer

Consult Your Healthcare Provider: You must consult with your physician or appropriate healthcare team before starting this Course or implementing any of its methods. This is especially important because the Course involves practices related to pain management, mindfulness, and may include light physical or movement-based exercises. Prior consultation with a licensed health care professional is required before engaging in any activities described in the Course materials. Your provider can determine if the Course’s activities are safe and suitable for your specific health needs.

Not a Substitute for Personalized Care: The Course content is not tailored to any individual’s specific health profile. Any exercises, mindfulness techniques, or suggestions are generalized for educational purposes. They are not to be interpreted as a specific treatment plan or medical regimen for you. If you are currently under the care of a physician, physical therapist, or other healthcare provider, do not disregard their advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or learned in this Course.

Assumption of Risk: Participation in any wellness or exercise program carries inherent risks. While the Course is designed to be safe and beneficial for a general audience, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation. You understand that any exercise or wellness activity can potentially result in injury or aggravation of a pre-existing condition. Even techniques that appear gentle – such as mindfulness meditation or stretching – can have unexpected effects. Possible risks may include, but are not limited to: muscle or joint soreness, strain or sprain, dizziness or fainting, exacerbation of pain or symptoms, abnormal changes in blood pressure or heart rate, or in rare cases more serious events like injury or medical complications. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree to participate at your own risk.

Stop if Uncomfortable: It is your responsibility to monitor your own condition throughout any activity in the Course. If at any time you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, shortness of breath, faintness, or any other abnormal symptoms, stop immediately. Continuing despite discomfort may lead to injury or worsening of your condition. You should seek medical attention promptly if such symptoms occur. Never force your body or mind beyond what you consider safe for you. You are encouraged to use modifications or skip any practices that feel unsafe.

Who Should Not Participate (Health Conditions Warning)

The Pain in Panorama Course is an educational program on pain neuroscience and mindfulness-based pain management. While generally safe for many individuals with chronic pain, certain health conditions may make the Course’s methods inappropriate or potentially harmful for you. If you have any of the following conditions or circumstances, you should not participate in this Course (or specific activities within it) without first obtaining clearance from a qualified medical professional:

  • Serious Cardiovascular or Respiratory Conditions: If you have heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, chest pain, or significant cardiac history, or if you have a severe respiratory condition such as advanced COPD or asthma that limits your activities – consult your physician. Even gentle exercises or stress from engaging with pain can affect your cardiovascular or respiratory status (e.g., causing abnormal blood pressure or heart rhythm changes). Ensure your doctor approves any stress-reduction or exercise program in your case.

  • Neurological Conditions: If you have conditions like epilepsy (seizure disorder), history of fainting or dizziness, or other neurological conditions that could be triggered by meditation or certain movements, seek medical advice. Mindfulness practices typically involve breathing and mental focus, which in rare cases could provoke dizziness or other symptoms in susceptible individuals. Your healthcare provider should determine if these practices are safe for you.

  • Psychiatric or Psychological Conditions: If you suffer from a severe mental health condition – for example, major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or other psychotic disorders, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – please consult a psychiatrist or psychologist before starting mindfulness-based exercises. Mindfulness meditation, while beneficial for many, can sometimes intensify underlying psychological issues in vulnerable individualsphysio-pedia.com. For instance, research indicates that mindfulness practices might heighten or worsen symptoms in those with tendencies toward depression, bipolar disorder, or psychosisphysio-pedia.com. If you have a history of trauma or severe anxiety, certain mindfulness exercises could potentially bring up distressing memories or feelings. Professional guidance is strongly recommended in such cases.

  • Acute or Unresolved Medical Conditions: Do not use this Course as a substitute for proper medical evaluation of new or worsening pain or other symptoms. If you have unexplained pain, a suspected underlying medical condition (such as an infection, tumor, or fracture), or any condition that is rapidly deteriorating, seek medical attention first. This Course is not designed to address acute medical issues, and delaying proper treatment could result in harm.

  • Recent Surgery or Injury: If you are recovering from surgery or have had a significant injury (e.g. recent fractures, sprains, or orthopedic surgeries), follow the rehabilitation plan from your surgeon or therapist before engaging in additional programs. Certain movements or activities, even gentle ones, might interfere with your healing if done too soon. Obtain clearance from your surgeon or physical therapist that participation in this Course is safe post-surgery.

  • Pregnancy and Postpartum: If you are pregnant or postpartum, please consult your healthcare provider before beginning the Course. While mindfulness and gentle exercise can be beneficial during pregnancy, every pregnancy is unique. If you have any pregnancy-related complications or restrictions, get explicit approval from your doctor. (Note: The Course does not specifically target pregnancy-related pain, and pregnant participants should exercise caution and not exceed their comfort.)

  • Other Chronic Conditions: If you have any other chronic medical condition that could limit your ability to participate safely – for example, severe osteoporosis, hemophilia or bleeding disorders, uncontrolled diabetes, or any condition your doctor has warned you could be aggravated by changes in activity or stress levels – you should get medical clearance. In general, if you have been advised by a healthcare professional to avoid certain positions, movements, or stressors, adhere to that advice and either skip those components of the Course or refrain from enrolling.

This list is not exhaustive. Every individual’s health situation is different. You are responsible for consulting a healthcare provider to determine if the Course is appropriate for you given your personal medical history. If your provider advises against participation, or suggests modifications, you agree to follow that medical advice.

Participant Responsibility and Conduct

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are physically and mentally able to participate in the Course and that you have either received clearance from your healthcare provider or have decided to proceed assuming full responsibility for any health risks. You also agree to use common sense and listen to your body throughout the Course. You will not push beyond your personal limits and will adapt or skip any exercises or practices as needed for your safety. If you choose to share any personal health information with us (for example, in course forums or communications), you do so voluntarily. We encourage you to respect your own privacy and only share what you are comfortable with. You agree to conduct yourself respectfully in any interactive portions of the Course (such as discussions or group calls) and not to disrupt the experience for others.

No Guarantee of Results

Every individual’s experience with chronic pain and relief techniques is unique. We make no guarantees or warranties regarding the outcome or results of this Course for you. While the Course is based on evidence and intended to help you retrain your pain responses and improve comfort, we do not promise any specific result such as pain elimination or functional improvement. Any testimonials or examples of success from other participants that we may share are not a guarantee that you will achieve similar results. Your outcome depends on many factors beyond our control, including your adherence to the practices, the nature of your condition, and other personal factors. You acknowledge that improvements, if any, are not guaranteed and that you will not hold us liable for not achieving your desired outcome.

For instance, if you choose to perform an exercise or meditation from the Course and experience any adverse effect, you agree that we shall not be held responsible for that outcome. We expressly disclaim any liability in connection with the Course and your use thereof.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reframed Physical Therapy Inc., Pain in Panorama, and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, actions, or liabilities (including attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of or related to your use of the Course or violation of these Terms. This indemnity survives the termination or completion of the Course.

Governing Law and International Use

These Terms and any dispute arising from your participation in the Course shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Medical Emergency and Crisis Situations

The Pain in Panorama Course is not an emergency service and cannot address urgent or life-threatening situations. If you experience a medical emergency (for example, acute chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe injury, or suicidal ideation) during the Course, STOP and seek emergency medical help immediately by calling your local emergency number. Do not wait for guidance from the Course or its instructors in such situations, as we are not equipped to provide emergency medical or psychological intervention. Always prioritize getting prompt professional assistance in emergencies. Additionally, if you feel that participation in the Course is exacerbating your symptoms or mental state in a dangerous way, discontinue use and contact a qualified healthcare provider or crisis line right away.

What People Are Saying:

This course was practical, compassionate, and deeply empowering. I would recommend it to anyone dealing with chronic pain or recovering from injury—especially if you're looking for support that treats the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Ultimately, the course gives you the tools to reprogram your relationship with pain, which is so powerful. Instead of feeling stuck in a cycle of discomfort and limitation, I started to shift how I thought about pain, which made a noticeable difference in how I experienced it. Her teachings helped me reconnect with a sense of control and trust in my body.

There is so much interesting and useful information in this course that I have been thinking abut since I first did igt about a year ago. I am ever going to start back at the beginning and go through it again!
